“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”—e.e. cummings, 1955
In my never-ending quest to always be productive, even in times of procrastination, I decided to re-read one of my favorite classic children’s book, Oh! The Places You’ll Go this evening. I have always loved this story by Dr. Seuss. My mother read it to me all the time when I was growing up and I also read it when I work with the children at summer camp.
This book has always inspired me and I love to re-read it when I have too much going through my mind or look at all the deadlines that I have set for myself. I love the excitement in knowing that soon I will be experiencing such adventures. After reading Dr. Seuss, I continued my research for places that I want to visit in the near future. Of course, being the crazy person that I am; I want to go everywhere.
I sift through National Geographic articles/photos/maps, travel books and travel blogs each day in the little spare time that I have. The world is out there for me to see and you bet your bottom dollar that I will go all over! I cannot wait for the exploration to begin. I know I will go to many places in my future. I can feel it in my bones.
